This year, I jumped into Inktober with a simple goal: to sketch, explore ideas for future prints, and most importantly, enjoy the creative process. Unlike previous years, I didn’t follow any prompts—I just let my imagination flow.
What made this Inktober special was my choice of canvas: a Moleskine Japanese album with a continuous accordion-style fold. Each pattern seamlessly transitioned into the next, creating a 3-meter-long design by the end of the month! Inspired by a Koh-i-noor two-tone pencil, I limited my palette to red and blue, which gave the sketches a cohesive and striking look.
Now that my sketchbook is complete, I’m excited to look back at this experiment. It was both challenging and inspiring, and who knows—maybe some of these patterns will make their way into future projects!
