From Sketch to Final Artwork: The Making of This Floral Line Pattern
This pattern was an exploration of delicacy and contrast, where I aimed to balance intricate floral linework with a bold yet elegant aesthetic.
Hand-Drawn Origins
The foundation of this design comes from my own hand-drawn floral sketches, which I carefully refined and adapted into a seamless pattern. I love starting with traditional sketching, as it allows for a more organic, flowing composition that feels natural and expressive.

Line Work & Composition
Finding the right line thickness was crucial for this design. Too thin, and the flowers would lose their impact; too thick, and they would become too heavy for a seamless pattern. I carefully adjusted the strokes to create a balance where the flowers remain delicate yet visible, with just enough contrast against the background.

Color Choice
I love finding harmonious color combinations—it’s probably my true hobby! Choosing just one palette is always a challenge because every color variation gives the pattern a completely different feel.

Flow & Repetition
A key challenge was making the pattern feel natural and harmonious while maintaining a seamless repeat. I arranged the floral elements to create a rhythmic flow, ensuring no harsh breaks or overly dense areas. The goal was to achieve a soft, organic movement, reminiscent of vintage botanical prints but with a modern twist.
